About Us
Marble Hill Baptist Church was founded in 1948 as a mission of Everett Hills Baptist Church of Maryville, TN. We are a growing church founded on the Word and focused on the Cross. We firmly believe in missions, as our church supports physically, financially, and spiritually several missions, both local and international. We are affiliated with the Southern Baptist convention, the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board, and the Chilhowee Baptist Association. Please pray for our church as we seek to glorify Jesus Christ through making disciple makers.
What to Expect
How do people dress at MHBC?
MHBC does not have a specific dress code. On Sunday mornings we have some men that wear suits, while others wear blue jeans. Some women wear dresses or skirts, and others wear dress pants or jeans.
Sunday evenings are more casual. Men typically wear jeans or dress pants, and most women do the same, although a few wear dresses.
On Wednesday evenings most everyone dresses casual.
Does MHBC have a preferred translation of Scripture?
We typically use the KJV from the pulpit, and reference other translations from time to time for a more clear understanding. If someone prefers to reference a different translation, that is totally acceptable.
What about my kids?
On Sunday mornings we have a children's worship service for kids aged 4 to the 5th grade. A nursery is also available for toddlers and infants.
What can I expect during worship?
Our worship style is very blended. In a typical service there is southern gospel, traditional, and contemporary music.
I would like to join MHBC!
If you are a born-again Christian and are interested in joining MHBC, please let one of the ministers know. Our pastor will meet with you to discuss the details of membership at Marble Hill. Also a "New Members Class" is required for all prospective members.
